Helping the author be the best they can be. So far my editing experience has really been a wonderful internship. I enjoy reading other peoples work and being their second pair of eyes, helping with structures and plots and dialogue. Okay I admit it I love editing, for fun or work. Just not always love revising my own stuff.

I guess. LOL! Yes, editing is such a fun thing. I know back when I started doing it (in the Stone Age), I wondered what made me qualified to tell an author what to do? Now that I'm a write,r I know how valuable that fresh pair of eyes is!

I hadn't considered how editing could be a fun process when you aren't emotionally invested in the work. It might even give one feelings of god-like power (insert evil laugh here).
