If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

"A storm gathers across the galaxy…"

CassaStorm
by Alex J. Cavanaugh

A storm gathers across the galaxy… Byron thought he’d put the days of battle behind him. Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, his only struggles are occasional rogue pirate raids and endless government bureaucracies. As a galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s ideal life is threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the Cassans.

After enemy ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, shaking Bassan to the core and threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.

Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could be on its way back. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle…

"Left to question the blood in her veins..."

Eighteen-year-old Tanzy Hightower knows horses, has grown up with them on Wildwood Farm. She also knows not to venture beyond the trees that line the pasture. Things happen out there that can’t be explained. Or undone. Worse, no one but she and the horses can see what lurks in the shadows of the woods.
When a moonlit ride turns into a terrifying chase, Tanzy is left to question everything, from the freak accident that killed her father to the very blood in her veins. Broken and confused, she turns to Lucas, a scarred, beautiful stranger, and to Vanessa, a charming new friend who has everything Tanzy doesn’t.
But why do they seem to know more about her than she knows herself?

This is the excerpt for Moonlit by Jadie Jones, set to release April 16, 2013 from WiDo Publishing.

Georgia native Jadie Jones first began working for a horse farm at twelve years old, her love of horses matched only by her love of books. She went on to acquire a B.A. in equine business management, and worked for competitive horse farms along the east coast. The need to write followed wherever she went.
She currently coaches a hunt seat equitation team that competes in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association, and lives with her family in the foothills of north Georgia. When she’s not working on the next installment of the Moonlit series, she’s either in the saddle or exploring the great outdoors with her daughter. Moonlit is her first book.
Have a terrific weekend everyone!

The pieces felt cold, dead in her hand

My title is a sentence taken from my current WIP ~Bloodstone~ I have been revising my little fairy heart out and am almost done with this round. I have five chapters left.

I did something crazy! I signed up for the A-Z challenge. I know I've only been posting here and there- but what better way to get myself back involved in the blogging than to do a challenge where I need to write a post every single day?

And in this writers household we learned two very important things:

1) Manly men can fall in love with puppies too (a mini Australian Shepard to be exact)

2) My lap is now the new hangout zone for the cat to lay in, Otto (the new puppy) to jump in, Deuce to sit on, and Hemi (the oldest dog) to stand on. It's a right popular place with the animals.

As usual if you go to my facebook page here on the left of the screen you will find that every Friday morning I post places you can submit your work. Feel free to take a gander.

Are you taking the A-Z challenge?
What's the most popular place in your writer house?
How is your current WIP coming along?

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ~

I heart comments~~ You all Rock my world!
