If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Watching Willow Blogfest- If I could be anyone...

Talli Roland is hosting the 'If I could be anyone Blogfest' for her debut novel Watching Willow.

The rules:
"Well, on September 14th, I'm organizing an online 'If I Could Be Anyone, I'd Be...' party! Come dressed as that one person you've always admired, longed to impersonate, or just plain envied. Now is your chance to make your superhero, film-star, or Rock God fantasies come true (okay, maybe not all your fantasies...).

If you have a blog and you'd like to take part, all you need to do is post a photo of your chosen one (dead or alive) along with an explanation why you've picked that person. If you're on Twitter or Facebook, just post 'If I could be anyone, I'd be X' as your status, along with the hast-tag #watchingwillow on Twitter (or tag me on FB so I know you've taken part)."

Ok- Now for the person I wish I could have been-
Jane Austen
Why? Because I adore what she represents in fiction.

Best of luck miss Talli with your novel!

I kinda go for Jane Austen, myself although I'd hate to wear those little dust caps they always wore.

Hi Summer... I think I'd choose to be Meryl Streep, because I'd like to experience being someone who is so hugely talented and such a fabulous human being to boot!

Impressed with you being a voluntary slush pile reader. I think you must feel a bit like a pearl fisher, diving into the depths in the hope that you'll come up with the prize :-)

Love Jane Austen! People horribly misrepresent her based off what they see in Hollywood. She wrote amazingly deep and psychological work, and took the novel up to the next level. Excellent choice!

What a talented lady to choose!

My choice is a little more crazy than the demure Miss Austen.

So far Jane Austen is the leader that I've seen. She sure is popular, especially in this day and age when glitz and glamour captivate so many people.

Ahhh, the great novelist Jane Austen, great choice but not sure I could have survived in that time period :)

Ooh, this is the second Jane Austen that I've seen! For us writerly folks she's definitely a good choice :-) (Though I've seen a movie about her life and I'm not sure I'd actually want to BE her. Maybe a character in one of her novels, like (no surprise) Elizabeth Bennet!)
