If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Weekend Writing Warriors 3/10

8 sentences from my novel Bloodstone
~Her breath caught and instinctively she tried to pull herself free. Like a rabbit caught in a trap, the more she struggled the harder her father held on. His anger only increased by her defiance. He bit his bottom lip and brought the knife up.
Ebony broke out in a sweat as she realized her father intended to chop the ring off her finger. Her heart hammered in her chest as she struggled harder, trying to grab the counter or anything to give her leverage. Ebony's hand slid free and she fell back on the white tiled floor. She looked up at her father. ~

She claims her spaceship is possessed.

A Grand New Age of Boom or Dust?

~If you are looking for my feature follow- it's HERE ~

Boomtown Craze, Book 3 in the Backworlds series is here!

In the far future, humanity settles the stars, bioengineering its descendents to survive in a harsh universe.

To secure his future, Craze must propel his world into a more prosperous era. Only days away from the grand opening of his new and improved tavern, he is confronted by a loony Backworlder intent on mucking up his plans. Gaunt and trembling, she claims her spaceship is possessed. She also has a connection to the underworld that shakes loose the dark past of one of Craze’s closest friends. It all threatens to end Craze’s prosperity before it begins.

Meanwhile off world, Captain Talos works desperately to outwit the mercenary Jixes and lure them away from his and Craze’s budding prospects. The mind-control weapon Talos uses against them is wearing thin, and his next move may be his last.

Will Craze and Talos’s efforts bring about a grand new age of boom or damn them to forever struggle in the dust?

What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

~ I loved The Scarlett Letter even when I had to read it in school. The way that this book was written romanticized the past- culture- for me. Not as in I thought it romantic, but more it gave me an impression that stuck with me for years to come. Hester is such a strong leading lady.

Q: Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like -- oops?

I've done  a whole bunch of things wrong over my first year or so blogging. The one thing I didn't do right- commenting.  I had no idea how to go about commenting on other peoples blogs, how to follow them, and so I just didn't. It took a while for me to figure it out but I had some friendly bloggers along the way willing to help me and were patient enough for me to ask questions.

Whats your beginning oops?

Joy, Mixers, and Madness.

Joy- The one thing I don't concentrate on enough- but today will be different. I'm participating in the Blog hop of Joy  and then I'll have some goodies for you at the end.

Rules- Post a list of at least 5 things that bring you joy.

Picture my five things that bring a spring to my step:

5) Reading

4) The writing process

3) Fairies (isn't my new one gorgeous!)

 2) My animals

#1 ) Family

Now for more goodies...

Pitch Madness - submission window opens March 15th- so go to Brenda's blog and check out some guidelines and have that pitch ready when they open.

Matchelor - Say what? Yes you are reading it right- It's a Critique partner / Beta reader mixer! Hosted by Falling for Fiction send your e-mail before March 20th to join in.

February Word Master Challenge - Submissions due by march 3rd (just a  few days everyone) and there is a prize involved.

What puts a bounce to your day?
Will you be participating in the Pitch madness or the cp/beta mixer?

Happy Friday!
