If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Book store shut down

Sweet I can use the new editor again! ~Happy Dancing~

They are shutting down the Walden Books here in Casper. This makes me very sad. It's the biggest book store we had, now we are down to a book exchange and a coffee house bookstore that doesn't have very many new books. I've been buying my girls new books every month as a reward for good behavior. At the end of the month they will get a brand new book. But now I'll have to order them online. There is the college bookstore- but I do not see how my seven year old will get into things like the linguistics of french and the Spanish English dictionary LOL.

On a side night Summer classes come to an end this weekend. I'll have a few days break before I start fall semester. I think I'll take my kids camping since they have had to stay cooped up with mom most the summer.

I've gotten a great deal of writing done- but all of it has been for classes. I'm still waiting on my last submission to find out if I am accepted or rejected.

Happy writing!

OH how sad! :-( It's so depressing when bookstores close down - so so sad!!! Buying online is ok but there really is nothing like browsing brand new books on shelves!

I have everything crossed for your submission!!! Yay for your upcoming break- enjoy! Take care

Bummer on the book store, we are down to 2 and neither are large. But hey, if you start now maybe your girls college education can be paralleled with grade school. :) Camping in Casper, sounds like a great idea.

Time to get that add supported Kindle I suppose. The Borders a block over is going out of business(like every other borders) the sales don't seem all that saley to me though.

It's so sad that all the Borders and Waldenbooks are closing! The Borders Express near me is now a Books-A-Million. That was a pleasant surprise! So maybe your Waldenbooks will be turned over to them too. My fingers are crossed for you and your good girls!

Sorry about your bookstore. I confess, I've been ordering all of my books online for several years now.

I know how you feel about the bookstores closing. First I lost my neighborhood Barnes and Noble a few years back and now Borders is history. I have to now either walk two miles to the closed B and N or take the bus I hate it. I just loved to spend an afternoon skulking around in the aisles when I had the chance. No more now.

Congrats on all your hard work. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

That's sad your bookstore is being shut down. :( I've found that ordering books online comes out cheaper and on Barnes and Noble if you spend $25 or more you get free shipping. But nothing can replace browsing through a bookstore and smelling the paper and just seeing it all.

Seems the trend lately to shut down bookstores. That's just too bad. I went by Borders today and I'll tell you those shelves are getting picked clean (and the savings aren't even really that great!). And my critique group used to meet in Borders, so now we have to find a new haunt. How depressing!
