If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Time out or eaten alive

As I forge through the days ahead I must warn you I might be eaten alive by... boxes.

Or perhaps those dust bunnies that grow underneath things we don't clean often and then you move 'em and Yikes they have teeth.

Or, fairies forbid, I might be swallowed whole by the cleaning monster.

If  you don't see me in 10 days- Please send emergency fairy dust.

If you haven't guess, I'm moving to a new house. We close on June 27th and I'm frantically packing up my family, and their things, plus deep cleaning so renters can move in. I won't be around for a few days. As soon as I come back I will post bright happy pictures of a new home, or perhaps it might just be rooms being eaten by boxes- either way pictures will come.

See you soon.

WWW 6-23-

Catch up: Ebony found an intruder in her home, retrieved her cast iron pan from above the stove, and hit him over the head with it when he came to the kitchen. He passed out. She moved a chair to the stove slipped a rope around the pan and hung it above the chair, slip knotting where his hands would go. Then tied his wrists making sure that 'if' he lifted his wrist to come for her the pan would swing down and hit him again- of his own doing... The man woke up, hit himself after she told him not to move...  He asked what was wrong with her--

8 sentences from Bloodstone

“A lot, but that has little to do with the situation. What are you doing in my house?” Ebony slid her bare feet under the bar on her seat. She wasn’t scared. She bound him good and tight he wouldn’t go an inch unless Ebony allowed it. But she’d keep her eye on him just in case.

The man didn’t blink. “Let me go.”

FF- Literary and Freebie Friday (ebooks)

Ah Friday how I missed you...

Q: What is your favorite literary quote?

I love lots of quotes. But my all time favorite is by Sylvia Plath~

"And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt."

And now for ebook Freebies:
Don't forget because the follow function(GFC) will be leaving blogger soon- find another way to stay up to date on my posts via my right side bar. You can sign up by e-mail or RSS feed.

No secret stays hidden forever.

Being captain of his own rescue ship is the life Liam Synar has always dreamed of living. Being master of a hereditary demon is not.

Hunted by council for practicing dark magic, she is certain she's been wrongfully accused.
Nina Reyes is a just barely reformed grifter who has left her past and her criminal record behind. That is until her brother shows up on her doorstep with some rogue werewolves out to kill him.

Entangled in a web of first love, quirky and secretive townsfolk, magic and blood rituals, she discovers the town's secrets aren't just bizarre, they're deadly.

This is the story of one 18-year-old young woman, Emma Girdlestone of the Willie Handcart Company, who faced starvation, frostbite, and death so she and her family could join their fellow Latter-day Saints in the Salt Lake Valley.

Will she let the drugs take her out of the world, and be forever numb, or will an unlikely love pull her out and make her feel again?
Heroes are not born, they are forged in the fires of apocalypse...

In exchange for wealth, power, and training for his newly discovered abilities, all Daniel has to do is help them reach a new, unsuspecting world.

John Casey — a man with special powers in a world filled with ignorance and tyranny — who discovers the chilling dangers of the town of Marysvale when he encounters something there that just may be worth dying for

What's your favorite quote?
Plan on reading any of these freebies?

Word Macros For Editing

After an hour yesterday of manually deleting tab indents and replacing them with paragraph indents for formatting, I was seriously cheesed.

How obnoxious! It's cruel and unusual punishment.

And man did it make my tendonitis flair up in my hands. I could barely move my fingers properly.
So, I ran away from the computer- right into the arms of my writers group and I told them my dilemma.

Guess what one member told me "There's a macro for that!"

Well at least you can make one for it. ~Grins~

And because it's so important to me, I spent the better part of three hours trying to figure out how to make a macro that deletes tab arrow and then replaces with paragraph indents. And I did it. I'm so excited!

A Macro is a set of instructions that can be triggered by a keyboard shortcut or toolbar button.

Do you use macros for writing or editing? If so what are they for?

Do you want me to do a tutorial on this tab/indent macro I made for MS office?

Writing

Two things I've learned during revisions:
  1. Don't under estimate the power of a second strong character, even if he is a vulgar imp named Razzle.
  2.  Anything is subject to change.
My novel 'Bloodstone' currently stands at 58,060 words.
  • I have reworked it four times.
  • I started it January of 2012.
  • It's currently into submission.

Here is the first and last lines of Chapter 1:

First Line:

Ebony’s breath slowed. The sound came from her deceased father’s old study across the small house.

Last Line:

A blue light appeared and he walked through it, leaving the Manor behind.

Wish me luck!
