Back to school. Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you’ll be teaching this semester.

My reading list for an English Lit class-

Alice in Wonderland

The Monk by Mathew Lewis

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

I would choose these three books because they each represent something in the written world- Alice is that fantasy and internal struggle of facing problems. Plus I just love the poem.

The Monk because not only did the young man write it in a few short months way back in the day- but it also represents how a religion can effect the writing world.

Finally Thirteenth Tale- that's just plain damn good writing with a fascinating story.

One thing that has come up recently is the idea of night owl and it's counterpart. People who stay up all night are considered night owls, but what are those who stay up during the day considered?

Tuesday Teaser ~ Shanhaied Bride

I'm in love with the title of this one.

The attack occurred so sudden; the urge to scream didn't comprehend. The opportunity was lost when a coarse cloth was pushed into her mouth.

Her abductor slipped a blindfold over her head, while holding her snug against him. A burst of anger gave her the courage to fight. She shook her head in hopes of loosening the blind, but it wouldn't budge. When she paused for a breath, he was quick to grab her wrists and fasten them with rope behind her back.
