If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Rejection

My newest rejection to add to my collage comes from a new magazine called Certain Circuits...

Dear S.A.,

Thank you very much for your submission.  We are still reading for the issue, but we wanted you to know that these did not fit for us.

We hope that you will continue to follow and support our progress, and that you will consider submitting other work in the future.

Best,
Bonnie MacAllister

Well, it will certainly add to the collage. One closer to a yes!

Well, at least they were polite.

Alex- Right you are!

Elle- True they were polite, I haven't had many that were not polite. thankfully. :)

Wow, that stinks. I have to agree with Alex and E. Elle, though. I'm glad they were nice and even encouraging. They didn't shut the door in your face....they kind of left an open invitation....you don't do that with people you don't like, right?

Words Crafter- Yup they left the door open to me, and I would suppose if they didn't like my writing they wouldn't have. Thanks for pointing that out!

At least they were polite!

And as Alex said, it's one letter closer to publication! :)

You're making a collage of rejections?! That's hilarious; what a great idea. I used to have 300+ rejection letters, which I finally tossed one year when I moved into a dinky apartment. Still collecting the email type though. ;o)

Carol- Yup a collage, what else would I do with rejections, lol

Sorry Summer :( I know that does not help but... If I was an editor-in-chief I would publish you :)

Next year baby, next year ;)

Nevermind. The most important thing (and I know it's small consolation but this is always my take on rejections!!! ) is that you submitted! You tried.

Take care

It sucks that you got rejected, but it'll make the people that accept you all the more awesome for doing so! :)

Sorry for your rejection but it was polite, that's a pretty nice thing. Right?

My favorite rejection came from a literary agent who did not see a compatibility with the novel I'd submitted, but who had also left open the door of possibility for me to submit something else to them in the future.

You'll get that yes yet.
