If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Ideas for A-z

I am Participating in the A-Z Challenge and have spent several weeks panning out ideas for it. One idea I'd like to share with you is if you are having trouble coming up with ideas- try short writing prompts!

Write for at least 100 words about a mystery, a historic item, a house, coins, and a shoe.

Write for at least 150 words about a coin, a pine tree, and a politician.

Write for at least 1 minute about an agreement, a deck of cards, a dragon, and a treasured heirloom.

Write for at least 300 words about a disagreement, a businesswoman, a banjo, and a key. Focus on description that uses all five senses.

Write for at least 200 words about a case of mistaken identity, a fire, a lightning bolt, and a crutch. Focus on describing unusual details.

Happy writing!

Excellent writing prompts. I will include YouTube for some of my post. I figured people could use a break from reading.

Ahhh. I call these "jumpstarts" and I've been doing them for years. Most of my books started as jumpstarts...just to see where the story idea was going. Great idea.

Love these raw beginnings. That's how I got the idea for the story I'm doing now.

I, um.. haven't done that much planning for A-Z! It always felt like ages away and now it's like... less than two weeks!

Great idea.

I've started to work on my A-Z Challenge posts (I've got just over a week planned so far) and I want to get them done by the end of the month so I have time to sit back and read during April itself!

There are SO many people doing the A to Z Challenge! It's going to be a blast to read all the posts. Will you do a letter a day about fairies? Because that would be awesome! All I know is that I'm going to post short, like really short. And I'm going to click all over the place and try to visit about 25 different blogs a day. Whew!

Thanks for the tips, we're still trying to figure out if we'll be able to do it or not (March was so busy for us, we aren't too organized right now!!).

Love the prompts! I'm making a list including genres I like. Should be fun including short stories in the a to z :)
