If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

Crazy Holiday Blogfest entry

The important thing here is to write....and so with that in mind I have yet endured my fingertips and pens to another blogfest, The Crazy Holiday Blogfest

My Holiday: Christmas

My entry: 250 words or less....

I reached into the small box of my mother's old ornaments. My hand held a piece of fabric and a tear threatened the corner of my eye. I pulled out the small gingerbread doll made of brown felt material with a red ribbon trim. The left eye had fallen off many years ago and half a gingerbread cookie was still glued to the ornaments tummy. I remembered making this for her, I wanted her to see how great I could do, and I had fantasized about how much she would gush over a pretty hand made third graders gift.

But she didn't gush at all. She never said a word about it. Never told me how proud she was of it. There was only one thing she did that I could remember.

She hung it on the front of the tree every year until the day she died.

So very sweet. I have a tree in my bedroom that I hang only the ornaments my children have made. Each year, the kids and I have a great time hanging them and giggling at their creations. I think that is my favorite thing do every Christmas.

Summer,
Love this! My mother saved every ornament no matter how tacky and they still hang on the tree even though she died last year. My sister has continued the tradition with Daddy living at her house.
I love it!

Touching. Some people can't express their feeling through words, but they can through actions.
