If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

G- Gift card for authors

I've tried some pretty interesting image projects over the last year. I'm an author- of course I want to play with cover designs and characters and word designs. They are fun to manipulate and lets face it, a good inspiration for procrastination!

To further your procrastination efforts, I give you a way to create your own gift cards for your book. Click the link to find out how. I tried ideas of my own that are posted below as well. It was easy once I got the hang of it. (WARNING- Addictive to play with)

Create an author gift card

They look a little cheesy- but I think if I had an actual image of a printed cover- it might look pretty darn spiffy.

Would you create your own gift cards for your book?

I'd be terrible at this and would just put lots of cats' images on any gift card I create! LOL! Take care

Not sure I'd have time to do it as I'd probably still have a full time job. But thanks for sharing how to do it.

NO - don't give me any more inspiration for procrastination. I seem to manage quite well. But you are showing me a world I never knew existed. If I were an author, I'd definitely create gift cards for my book.

I'm so not good at the visual stuff. That's one reason I want to go a traditional publishing route.

With Heather McCorkle's help, I created bookmarks for THE LEGEND OF VICTOR STANDISH with the cover art. They were beautiful. Sandra, my best friend, wryly pointed out I had made a bookmark for a book without any pages! :-)

I would consider trying it. They look fun to design. I'm not sure that I'd have time to though. Simply Sarah

It's a great idea.

this is genius! I took a small business development seminar several years ago. The speaker was big on never letting any piece of material get to your potential market without a message on it.

This is a pretty cool idea. If I were selling a lot, I think that would be a great promotional thing to do.
