If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

F- Fairy Inspiration

~City of Fae~

It was there when I fell asleep, my bedroom. I blinked several times adjusting my sight. I stood from my bed of rainbow colored flowers and spanned the area. Trees loomed before me with little lights coming out of holes like thousands of tiny sunrises.

I took a tentative step forward; the ground beneath my foot groaned, then gave way. I dropped, landing on my feet. A zing sang up my legs as I spied a giant root city. Fairies fluttered back and forth across huge toadstool walkways. Naked gnomes huddled in groups talking in high-pitched voices I couldn’t understand.

“Excuse me,” a tiny voice said.

I glanced down and a leprechaun darted over my feet and scampered inside a dim lit hole in the ground. A pixie flittered right into my face; instinctively I swatted the tiny creature away. She flew back into the wall and every bustling creature stopped.

The gnomes looked at me then to the pixie. Fairies fluttered down.

“You don’t belong here.” A deep voice boomed behind me.

I turned to face the voice and a giant butterfly flapped bright red wings, hovering at chest level. When I stepped back, I found vines wrapped around my ankles and fell flat on my rear looking up at the ugliest thing I had ever seen.

A troll spanned the entire length of the ceiling to the underground city. It’s green face scowled down at me. A spittle of drool slid from the side of its twisted mouth and I watched in slow motion as it lengthened further and further toward my face.

I closed my eyes and turned my body trying to escape it, and fell on the floor of my bedroom.

I'll bet you're glad you fell out of bed before the drool landed. What an enjoyable passage.

My wife had a crippling fear of leprechauns. She knew they didn't exist, but couldn't get past it.

Dropping by from A to Z. It's my first year participating.
