If I had to describe myself, it would be in a word that has many meanings with a complexity which falls off the tongue.
A word made up of many elements, is deceptive in appearance, and creates an illusion from the imagination.
My word would be Phantasmagoric. ~Summer Ross

A-Z: "J"

In case you didn't know I write poetry. Recently I have started a  fairy chapbook. Here is a fun poem for the letter J- which happens to start the name of a curious little fairy named Jena.

(You do not have permission to copy this in anyway.)

Jena

I saw a big round human once,
as white as fresh dropped snow,
with dark brown eyes and an orange nose.
I flew to say hello.

His arms extended from his sides
like branches on a tree.
My friends watched on with silly grins,
he would not speak to me.

I fluttered 'round his face once more,
to give a little show-
And then my friends called out to me,
the man was made of snow.

If this is a sample of your book, I would say you already have a hit! Kids will love this!

Just as fun as a fairy would be, fairytastic :)

This poem is so charming and clever, Summer! I remember having to create chapbooks for my poetry writing class in college. Your fairy-themed one sounds delightful!

What a beautiful and crafty little poem. I know it's a cheesy reaction, but I just love poems that rhyme so effortlessly. Great job and nice blog!
